Order chlamydiales
WebChlamydiae belong to the Chlamydiaceae family (order Chlamydiales) that contains a single genus Chlamydia. Since 1999, three new families have been classified within the order Chlamydiales. These include the families Parachlamydiaeceae, Simkaniaeceae, and Waddliaceae, all of which contain Chlamydia -like or environmental Chlamydia species.
