WebJul 26, 2016 · The nut slot isn't cut right. The slot should be slightly higher on the fretboard side and lower on the headstock side. It's probably flat. Also, are the locking tuners staggered? One of the benefits of standard safe-t-post tuners is getting a minimum of 3 wraps on the post to get the break angle a little steeper. It's essentially a damper/mute on unfretted strings.
