WebBob Newhart is an acclaimed American actor and comedian known to amuse the audience with his grumpy voice rather than his jokes. After serving the army for a couple of years, he landed up at a job of a copy editor. There he wrote comedy sketches for radio shows and also recorded some of his random phone calls which he used as audition tapes. WebSketch comedy was the only game at that time. Of course the answer was a resounding yes! The Bob Newhart Show made its debut in 1972 on CBS, marking the beginning of a six-year run.
